UNIX/Linux skills are much in demand!

This list shows how many jobs were found on www.dice.com, a popular internet job site, in Los Angeles and Orange County for each key word shown. Notice how demand for computer skills has increased from December 2002 to now, including UNIX/Linux skills! For more details on each of the points in this flyer, see

Prerequisites

CS 241: UNIX/Linux System Administration

If you have already taken CS 141 (or equivalent), consider CS 241. We will install Red Hat Linux and Sun Solaris on each system in the classroom, giving you hands-on experience with system installs, configuration, tuning, monitoring, and network servers.
